I'm thrilled to offer some guidance in regards to your young children/teens and skincare.
Moms reach out daily wondering what sort of routine to implement for their children who desire to begin a skincare routine. Whether they're starting to deal with hormonal acne or simply want to follow in mom's footsteps, I've got some suggestions.
Before I begin, it's important to recognize that every child is unique, as you moms know! Some may not feel the need or desire for a skincare routine until their late teens, while others might be eager to start earlier or have specific skin needs that require extra attention. The decision of when to begin a skincare routine ultimately lies with the parents, who know their child's individual needs best. Generally, girls aged 16-18 are often ready to begin our full skincare routine, but again, it's essential to consider each child's unique circumstances and preferences.
For young, fresh skin, simplicity is key. I recommend adolescents and teenagers begin the day with a gentle dry skin brushing of the face to promote healthy lymphatic drainage, followed by simply washing the face using warm water and a Norwex face cloth and a light swipe of our Moisturizing Facial Stick. In the evening, employing the Blue Lagoon Cleanser followed by Hydrate and our lavender moisturizing facial stick proves optimal. The younger the child, cleansing every other day should suffice, with the Norwex face cloth serving as an alternative on off days. Additionally, for younger children, the Hydrate and Facial Stick steps can be omitted, as our cleanser doubles as a moisturizer. Our moisturizing facial stick offers a wonderfully simple solution for applying hydration all over the face and lips before bedtime.
The "Moisturizing Facial Stick" is the perfect solution for teens and pre teens as it combats dry skin, oily skin, acne-prone skin, redness, sensitive skin, young or mature skin because it's full of oils and butters with natural emollient properties, wound healing and regenerative activity, soothing anti-inflammatory properties and high doses of antioxidant vitamins A, E and D. Dry skin hydrates and plumps up, as oily skin becomes more balanced!
Oil cleansing is a luxurious and therapeutic method with incredible benefits. Parents should initially assist their children with this routine to ensure it's done properly. Let me break it down for you:
1) Massage 3-5 pumps of the cleanser into the skin for 1-2 minutes to dissolve makeup and dirt.
2) Steam the face with a warm washcloth for at least one minute to helps open pores and release toxins. Once cooled, gently wipe away impurities, oils, and any makeup with the cloth.
3) Repeat the warm cloth step if necessary.
4) Follow with the Hydrate spray to prep the skin for absorbing nourishing oils
5) Once "Hydrate" has dried, finish by applying the Lavender Facial Stick all over the face and lips, massaging gently
This routine takes only around 4-5 minutes, offering a simple, effective, and affordable way to care for the skin and unwind at the end of the day. Additionally, we've found that this regimen is beneficial for all skin types, particularly for youthful skin.
